Every project is different and will be designed to your individual requirements.To access your requirements and deliver an exciting bespoke garden, we offer:
Initial discussions
perhaps in our design studio here at Trentham or on the telephone to gather basic information regarding the plot size, location and broad objectives. A convenient date and time can be arranged for a designer to meet with you on site
First meeting with our designer
at this meeting we aim to gain a more detailed picture of your plot and your needs. We need to know how the garden is to be used and will discuss ideas with you. Our designer will show you a portfolio of some previous designs to give you a better understanding of what you can expect from us. It's at this stage our designer will be able to assess our fees for providing the services you may require. If you are happy with our proposal we will then proceed to the preparation of a concept design.
Concept design
this is the point at which we commit an initial design to paper. It will give a very clear indication of how things will look and enable you to discuss any areas you are unsure about and may wish to change.
Final design
following the approval of the concept design, allowing for any changes that may have been necessary, our designer will produce the final scaled drawing of your new garden. Sketch elevations will be presented of any special features which may require clarification for construction purposes. Also at this stage if you require we can discuss the planting to establish your preferences. This service is not included in the design fee as it can only be calculated on the areas of planting which have been designed into the scheme.
Construction of the garden
our designers do not undertake the physical implementation of their designs but will be happy to provide you with itemized quotations from reputable landscape contractors. We will if requested, oversee the construction of your garden and this would be at an addition cost which we will discuss and agree with you first.
We are not able calculate the cost of any project in advance without having completed our initial visit to assess the design time. We can however say that our fee for designing a garden starts at around £300.
